Graham-White's EAX Service Lets Customers Track Orders, Check Invoices 24/7
EAX, a web-based program that allows customers to check the status of their orders
and accounts in a controlled and secure environment, has become a popular resource
for Graham-White customers around the world, says Lynn Cauley, Customer Service
Team Leader.
EAX, which stands for Enterprise Access, enables secure access to Graham-White's
enterprise data, allowing outside users to view and often maintain their data
in a real-time environment, says Cauley. The program tracks order information
such as status and location, invoices and accounts receivable, shipping history
and packing slip data, and customer sales history.
"It's a real advantage to our global customers, who can check on their
orders at any time and from anywhere," says Cauley. "It gives them
the flexibility to view an order's status and ship date, even if our offices
have closed for the day."
To gain access, a customer simply contacts Graham-White's Customer Service
Dept via website, email or phone. They will be assigned a User ID and password
for each account. The customer can query the database by logging on to www.grahamwhite.com,
E-Business and EAX Login, for access to their company's current and historical
records. Increasingly, the program is used internally by GW employees as well,
to ensure that projects stay on-time.
Ms. Cauley says that customer comments have been very positive, primarily because
of the program's ease of use. Future plans are to increase services for the
remanufacturing business segment, including scrap reports, core usage, and returned
materials reports.
But Ms. Cauley is quick to point out the EAX program was never intended to
replace one-on-one customer service. "We don't want to discourage calls,
because we enjoy talking to our customers," she says, adding that not everyone
has Internet access during the workday. "EAX is intended to be an additional
way that Graham-White can be responsive and offer exceptional service to all
of our customers, no matter where they're located."
